This alternative graduation track is available to Sunset HS students ONLY. To be eligible, a student must complete four (4) semester classes at Sunset HS and must be enrolled at Sunset HS for at least 90 calendar days.

*Under EC Section 51241, the governing board of a school district or the office of the county superintendent of a county may grant permanent exemption from courses in physical education if the pupil is 16 years of age or older and has been enrolled in grade 10 for one academic year or longer. (EC Section 51241[c][1][2][3]).
Students who graduate under this process are exempt from completing additional local school district graduation requirements and will complete 190 credits. Please note that there are advantages and disadvantages to graduating under this alternative diploma track. Contact your school counselor for additional information.
