Excused Absences

Regular attendance is an integral part of student academic success.  Each student is assigned an academic advisor, who is committed to keeping track of your student's progress at Sunset HS.  One of the key components to graduating from high school is being there!  Please encourage your student to be on time and ready to start the day.  School begins at 8:30am and 4th period ends at 12:45pm.

If your student is NOT going to be in school for ANY reason, please call 760-753-3860, and choose the Attendance Line or  dial Victoria directly at extension 5534.  You may also email Victoria Long and remember to include your student's name and reason for the absence.  Written notes are not typically accepted except from a physician.
